„We are in fine form“, exclaimed Lowa CEO, Werner Riethmann, on the occasion of the company’s 90th anniversary celebrations last year. He is of the opinion that other people who are less fortunate should also enjoy a little sunshine in their lives. With this in mind, a specific project was created, in association with members of Lowa’s Pro-Team and the extreme sports fan, Ralf Dujmovits.
The mountain boot specialists believe that it is important that all the money safely reaches its destination, for which they have to thank the close working relationship with Ralf Dujmovits and Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner, who both have strong ties with Nepal. Werner Riethmann has promised that Lowa representatives will be present when the new school is opened.
It is an opportunity for Lowa to support people in this region, particularly children. The investment in the school building is a sustainable way in which to offer help.
The funds that have been provided by Lowa are being used to construct the Namuna Jansewa Lower Secondary School. Today, nine teachers provide education for 170 children in extremely primitive conditions, in tumble-down buildings. The current building threatens to collapse at any moment. Pupils and teachers are looking forward to learning and teaching in the new classrooms, providing them with a proper educational environment. Education is the best way to overcome poverty and the lack of future prospects.
