On top of this, styles oscillate between soft femininity, which is characterised by sophisticated, velvety materials and prints, and increasingly a look inspired by sportswear, which is designed around extremely innovative, technical qualities. Trend expert, Marga-Indra Heide, gives step an overview of the most important themes.
Dynamic action

Silhouettes, materials and cuts that are brimming with energy, self-confidence and extravagance – these are the trademarks of dynamic action, which has been inspired by sport and functionality. Hybrids add excitement to the styles, while high-tech qualities and coatings ensure outstanding performance, and laser cuts and 3D effects make for extravagant finishes. When it comes to materials, neoprene is juxtaposed with eiderdown and nylon, creating business wear that is crossed with a modern passion for adventure. Bulky parkas and anoraks, together with eiderdown coats, provide protection from the cold. Jogging trousers and jeans, short skirts and dresses are combined with sweatshirts and polo-neck jumpers. Eye-catching details, such as zips, prints, patches, cord pulls and padding also lend a sporty touch to styles. New types of innovative sneakers – ranging from shoes to boots – sneaker and snowboot hybrids, as well as biker boots, keep feet firmly on the ground.
Fancy poetry

Imagination is given a free rein when it comes to fancy poetry, which tosses together folk style and Bohemian chic in a wild and magical pot pourri.
Inspiration from both the past and future is expressed in a feminine, sporty way, with the influence of the 1960s shining through every now and again. The items are characterised by decorative prints – real or surreal – floral designs and typical folk patterns, as well as variations on a checked theme. Skirts and dresses range from mini to maxi, and are combined with opulent jackets and coats, as well as plenty of fur – both real and fake – and animal prints. Contrasts are the name of the game, with exciting material combinations the focus: fluffy with silk, leather with see-through, and denim with lace. Feminine ankle boots, along with long boots, are setting the trend. Sophisticated heels are cut high at the front or designed to accentuate the ankle.
Smart reduction

Simple cuts for every day – the new smart reduction silhouettes are chic and relaxed. The new androgynous look has been offset with feminine touches. Cocooning and urban lifestyle influences are combined with a trace of casual luxury. Minimalism can be seen in the clean shapes and lines, and brings with it profuse layering. Coats and jackets have become significantly more bulky. Capes and long jackets swathe the figure, while trousers are wider and skirts are appearing in new lengths. Oversized T-shirts and knitted tops rub shoulders with traditional, masculine material and fine wool quality, such as cashmere and fur. These are matched with brogues, slip-ons and ankle boots with striking soles.
